Pre order 2020 📅 Calendar

Photos like this are exactly why I love setting up the special whale watching trips where we can spend long days on the water searching for that special moment!

I’ve been working on setting more special trips up for 2020 and I can’t wait to share them with all of you!

Where should I host a whale watching trip?
I have plans for Maui, Monterey, and San Juan islands so far!

I can’t even explain the trip yesterday with @blueoceanwhalewatch ! I can’t wait to talk about it on the @whalenerds podcast!
-
More than 7 whales breached all within the same minute! 6 of the whales were in groups of two and breached at the same time and it was less than 30 seconds after the 4.8 earthquake hit 35 miles away! Insane coincidence or they heard it under water?!
I think it was the earthquake that sent them breaching out of the water. We got word from the @mbari_news that the hydrophone picked up the earthquake and it went on for 30 seconds!
-
Swipe over to see what it looks like when your zoomed too far in for the double breach shot and try to do both last second! Would you go for the double or stay zoomed for the single?!

Had such an awesome All day trip in Monterey last Friday!
-
We had probably a dozen Humpback whales with some off and on lunge feeding and then a Blue whale.
We also had a nice active pod of Risso’s dolphins and phenomenal weather from start to finish!
-
It was awesome to see so many passengers see their first Blue whale.Thank you to everyone who came out and @blueoceanwhalewatch

Wow today was absolutely incredible I was able to get such a lucky shot!
-
I went out with @blueoceanwhalewatch and we had multiple humpback whales feeding along side sea lions and for a bit they were really consistently surface feeding so I ran down stairs and shot this photo out of the life jack room through a tiny window!

K37 chasing around L108 during sunset in the first photo!
-
How can you experience something this beautiful, and not fight to protect it. -
In the Salish Sea there are two populations of killer whales— ones that eat only marine mammals (Biggs), and the ones that eat only salmon (Southern resident). There are those that try to blame the stress of the endangered Southern Residents on many things, such as boat noise and the whale watching industry in the Salish Sea. If that’s the case, why are the Biggs going into an 8 year baby boom? The southern residents need us to do one thing. Help save the remaining salmon runs! No fish no blackfish!

I can't even describe how amazing this past weekend went in the San juan islands!
-
We left the harbor on our first trip of the weekend and didn't even make it a mile before we had member of the southern residents part of L pod along the west side of San juan island. We got some looks at them before heading off seeing two different pods of transient Orcas and then dozens of Humpback's and then later coming back to the west side on our way home and seeing members of L and K pod during last light!
-
Thank you to everyone who came out and the @sjiwhalewatch @hysazu @tspesak @orcawild The Maya's legacy crew and captains!
