Ingin memiliki payudara yang kencang sekaligus tubuh yang sehat? Coba lakukan wall push-up ini. Seperti sebutannya, teknik olahraga ini dilakukan dengan menghadapkan tubuh ke dinding (wall). Jadi berbeda dengan teknik push up lainnya yang menumpukan badan ke lantai, wall push-up ini mengharuskan kita menumpukan telapak tangan ke dinding.

Buat yang jarang olahraga, melakukan gerakan push up bisa terasa sangat sulit. Apalagi gerakan push up ini sangat membutuhkan kekuatan otot tangan dan tubuh dari bagian perut ke bahu, sehingga pemula bisa merasa sangat kesulitan untuk melakukannya di awal percobaan. Tapi tak perlu khawatir, bila dilakukan dengan rutin dan hati-hati, olahraga push up bisa memberi manfaat luar biasa, termasuk untuk mengencangkan payudara dan mencegah obesitas

Untuk melakukan wall push-up, caranya cukup mudah. Dan sebaiknya kamu melakukan pemanasan terlebih dahulu sebelum melakukan gerakan wall push-up. Tumpukan kedua telapak tangan ke dinding sejajar dengan bahu dengan posisi berdiri. Lalu, tarik kedua kaki ke belakang sampai kedua telapak kaki berada di posisi agak jinjit.

Gerakan dimulai dengan gerakan mendorong tubuh ke arah dinding sambil telapak tangan tetap bertumpu pada permukaan dinding. Kemudian, kembali lagi ke posisi semula. Lakukan berulang kali sampai otot-otot tangan dan bahu terasa kencang.

Gerakan push up juga bisa membantu mengencangkan lengan. Jadi kalau kamu punya masalah lengan yang menggelambir atau ada ingin mengatasi penumpukan lemak, gerakan wall push-up ini bisa kamu lakukan secara rutin

Spent 3 hours at the gym this evening! 💪 hit another nonscale victory too! I naturally have rotator cuff issues which makes bench press, and outward shoulder movements a problem.  My shoulders enjoy slipping from socket. So my friend challenged me to try wall pushups tonight. I was able to do them!  I'm focusing on some extreme back and shoulder work now to try and improve! .

This client is happy to have progressed to 3 new moves. #Rowing, #BackSquat & #Ringrow. Up until today she has being doing all the progressions leading up to this. We started a couple of months ago with supported  #seatedsquats which progressed to #airsquat then to #jumpingsquat (she’s not a huge fan of them😬). .
.
Rowing and ring rows started out with #cat/cow which progressed into #wallpushups to scapular pushups #plankholds #deadbugs and seated #shoulderpress ... suffice to say it’s been a journey. .
She has diligently completed her online program she receives 3 x per week. As she is experiencing symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome #cfs she sometimes breaks the program up over the day or over 2 days depending on how’s she’s feeling...either way she gets it done. .
We catch up weekly for an extended session where I try to expand on her already incredible progress. Cass did gymnastics as a kid and I can always see the muscle memory kick in even with the burden of her condition trying to suppress her effort but her gymnast pointed toes and elegant expressive arm movements shine through even in the most basic movements.  Every supported seated squat to standing would be completed with great finesse like she was going for a perfect score of 🔟.
.
So now she moves unsupported, free of walls and other bits of furniture or cushions to lean on. We are adding complexity and load to the exercises and increasing range of motion in all the the joints. We finish with a hot spa and now she even embraces a cold plunge ... (when the sun is shining) ... sometimes after she’ll nap in the afternoon but every elite athlete I know does that 😉.

WORKOUT WEDNESDAY #notagain 🤣🤣 I love these simple wall push-ups. ✅They are great for people who struggle to get down to the floor or have wrist issues. ✅They are a nice way to feel where the shoulders should be when you do a chaturanga if you are a yoga practitioner. ✅I like they way they subtlety connect me into my abdominal wall and remind me of a cue from my trainings days: “Be a piece of steel from head to heel”. (It was in reference to Long Stretch on the Reformer)

Scapula stability in a push up. Do you got it? It’s pretty hard to tell what’s going on back there. So first, attune yourself to the sensation of the scapulae moving together and apart. Then try to keep the scapulae apart as you bend the elbows. This is the difference between shoulder blade movement and shoulder movement (glenohumeral joint). If you have a friend nearby (preferably one with hands, not paws), ask them to place their fingers on the edge of your scapula and then you’ll have some feedback if they move towards the spine. Otherwise set up your camera and see what you’re actually doing. The dark side of the moon is a mysterious place.
ps. This also happens in the pushing up phase of a push-up, not just the lowering phase. They are sneaky little buggers. They can mooove a lot so keeping them still is a skill worth working on because it requires strength and awareness.
