Hi 👋🏼 I am Marcella. I import high-quality, artistic jewelry from Italy to promote Italian fashion and preserve Italian heritage in the United States 🇺🇸 🇮🇹 I grew up in Germany, but my family originally comes from Southern Italy. Being at home in two different countries sometimes meant giving up aspects of myself. But it also allowed me to have multiple perspectives on life and get acquainted with various people, places, (hi)stories, and styles. Today, I live in the United States.
During a visit to Northern Italy, I discovered Murano Glass from Venice and was instantly fascinated by its bright colors fused with shiny gold and silver foils. And, even more importantly, wearing Murano Glass gave me a sense of reconnection to Italy.
The boot-shaped peninsula had been in constant exchange with Greece, Spain, the Normans, the Middle East, North Africa and many more cultures. This rich history has contributed to multiple styles, of which Venetian glass in only one.
Venetian glass is thought to have been made for over 1,500 years, with some styles even dating back as far as Ancient Rome and Egypt. Venetian glassmakers enjoyed a variety of privileges: For example the prospect of rising into nobility. Today, glassmakers do not have any special privileges and the number of professionals is in decline. As a result, imitations and similar products of lower quality are on the market (recognizable by experts but not by the typical tourist). All the products from my shop come with an authenticity certificate from the partner in Murano Island, Italy: Corte Murrina, which is a famous jewelry brand in Europe. “Marcella di Cuore” is Italian and means “Marcella from the heart”, or “Marcella with love.” #marcelladicuore #muranoglass #muranoglassjewelry #muranoglassnecklace #venetianglass #venetianglassjewelry #venetianglassnecklace #italianglassware #italianartglass #italianculture #italianroots #italianfashion #italian #italianfashionbloggers #italianamericanwomen #italianamericangirl #italiansofinstagram #newyorkitalianwomen #italiansoftampa #tampaitalians #workingwomenoftampabay #workingwomen #independentwomen #womenwhowork #officestylefashion #voguemagazine - 7 hours ago
