So I had a little bit of a crash 2 days ago. I was already feeling pretty sorry for myself and my bum knee. Didn’t help that I scrolled far too far back on my IG before I injured my knee the previous time and was doing all sorts of absurd things young people could do back in the days with a healthy knee. Decided to take Eddie for a ride at Gillard 2 days ago and had all these big plans of making an awesome video with some cool new features I haven’t mastered yet but I could already feel on the climb that my knee wasn’t happy with me. Then I started the descent and every little bump or jump the knee was just giving me the 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻, that’s when the panic set in. By the end I was so sore and locked up that I had to limp defeated back to my truck and go home and crawl into the fetal position and rock back and forth.
24hrs later I slowly started climbing out of my hole of self pity, went through my entire saved rehab video folder and put together a hip/knee rehab program. It took me another 24hrs to muster the strength to put the program into motion and here it is. Every back and leg day I’ll do this sequence of exercises plus whatever back or leg exercises that don’t aggravate the knee or hip any further. I hope with time my knee & hip will recover just like my shoulder did. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻.

•Mace Swing and Squat Ladder• ~~ thought I'd share a couple of clips from this morning. ~ takes about 10 minutes give or take. I worked it slowly ~~ was a nice way to start the day with a little movement snack. I used a light #gada , can be performed with a #steelmace as well. 😃 (2nd clip video speedx2).

•1 #maceswing 360 to 1squat •switch directions 2 swings/2 squats •switch directions 3swings/3squats. .... up to 10/10. Then descending ladder #360swings 10-1. .
I like to squat holding the mace or #Gada this way~ can be held in vertical rack position, but my tendons feel better squatting  this way (especially with higher volume.) .

Last year in France for GPC European Championships where Jason competed on the 30th May, she was 2 months old and a few days after that Jason went to a gym competition and I was still 2 months postpartum and budget to deadlift 120kg never touched on that weight in my life.

I win that competition witch obviously I was not peeked and was 66kg at the time so I'm not much lighter ( I range around 63-65kg now a days)

That's when I stop having fear of competing and I start preparing later on in the year to attend to my 1st (real) competition in March, I missed 2 bench and came home with a 60kg bench witch 1 I lift my ass of the bench and then repeat the 60kg then the last 65kg I miss rack command.

Deadlift 142.5kg and I lifted 145kg lock it out then lost balance and lost the lift.

Shit happens and I took home 2nd place, witch believe it or not make me more hungry, Maggie was 4 months and I went on base to try to do the bench competition witch only had 3 females and I end it up last, and I left hungry, hungry to come back and be better then this fabulous strong woman that beat me.

The picture on the right I took it yesterday,  after the meet, I did 3 (real) meets this year and it's my 1st year powerlifting, I'm a super sleep deprived, momma, I try to train must when my daughter it's napping, because I have to manage training and clients and momma and wife duties.

I knew I was going to be 4th or 5th place when I seen the numbers every one was starting with, I also came with a very ambitious goal of total 400kg I got close 385kg witch my previous total was 327.5kg in July.

I had the strength for the 165kg unfortunately my hand ripped and the bar slide from my hand and this things happen and it's ok, just bad luck.

Bad luck and bad days happen to everyone.

I had to admit I change my numbers on my program, my heavier squat was 117.5kg and I was doing 115 in sleeves for reps so I took it at my own risk moved at home 135kg like an empty bar when my goal was 130 for an ambitious opener minding my previous best was 120kg.

Maggie keeps growing and we keep dragging her around those meets my last meet for GPGB will be most likely T&S'20.
