Gylfi Þór Sigurðsson
Gylfi started his career in 2002, when he was 14 years old. He started at Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar(Icelandic club)
In 2003 he moved to Breiðablik. He stayed there 2 years until in 2005 he moved to Reading. Now, 17 years old ex-Everton ball boy, Icelandic Gylfi, was in Reading's academy. In Reading, their current manager Steve Coppell wanted to turn him into a centre back. Coppell said that Gylfi wasn't quick enough to be a midfielder. However, he became a goalscoring and chance-creating attacking midfielder. In 2008, 20 years old Sigurdsson was promoted to the first team of Reading. He made 42 appearances, scoring 18 goals. He was loaned to Shewsbury Town for a season, where he scored 1 goal in 5 appearances. In 2009 he was loaned to Crewe Alexandra, where he scored 3 goals in 15 appearances.
