Functional Integrated Therapy
Muscle memory resides in the brain, a product of the CNS. Muscles act in patterns of coordination. Patterns of muscular tension are acquired by learning and by acts of injury and/or stress. Ex sitting at work for long periods of time
If you want to change muscle memory (movement memory) you have to do it by training the nervous system, and if you are caught in a tension pattern from an injury or repetitive stressors, you have to do it by unlearning the dysfunctional pattern and learning a healthy pattern of function, EX, healthy movement.
This is where manual muscle testing comes in and rolling. I see great gains from this MMT and rolling.
