Just one hour of exposure to artificial blue light at night, the kind of light produced by the our screens and light bulbs:
β€’	increases sugar consumption
β€’	raises blood sugar levels
β€’	reduces glucose tolerance (a warning sign of pre-diabetes.) After the exposure to one hour of blue light, male rats drank more sugar that night than during the nights with no blue light exposure.

Acute exposure to blue light at night impairs glucose tolerance, alters insulin secretion and increase sugar intake in a diurnal rodent. This photo represents elevation. Not wanting to stay the same. To level up. Become the best version of myself. At this stage of my life I had such a deep yearning in my heart to make things right. As a pro yoyo dieter i had been morbidly obese lots of times. When I was younger and obese I was still medically healthy?? All my bloods and stats would come back fine. But as I got older the obesity finally started taking its toll and i started deteriorating. Skin disorders, diabetes, irregular periods, inability to conceive, muscle and joint pains, acanthosis nigricans, depression, anxiety, excessive daytime sleepiness, and fatigue just to name a few demons I faced daily. My biggest demon wasn't health it was heart related. Not wanting to take my son to the pools, or out to parks because the heat and exercise would make life uncomfortable.
Not wanting to be intimate with my man cos I felt ugly. 
I was isolating myself from the world because I felt embarrassed and the effort to attend social events was too mentally draining.
If you see me now and think.. Oh she's changed, she's always out, she thinks she's all that, what is she wearing, why is she getting botox...
Please sit your arse down with your judgements, as I continue to elevate...
ONE of the boss things about my journey is i no longer stand for people's bs! It's empowering and ground breaking for me. No I'm not savage and no I'm not a bitch I just have no room for toxic bs anymore.

Made a crustless pizza casserole/soup πŸ˜‚ it was super good. There are a few things I’d do differently next time. This is my home made sauce, beef, pepperoni, shredded mozzarella, and fresh mozzarella balls

My delicious and nutritious chocolate green smoothie to start this fine Sunday!  This creamy and chocolatey creation consisted of water, banana, dates, cacao powder, chickpeas, a super green mix of red and green swiss chard, tat soi, arugula, and spinach, walnuts, almond butter, ground flaxseeds, ice, and a pinch of shredded coconut on top.  Pretty sure it’s loaded with just about everything I need for the day, or perhaps even the week.  Lol.⁣

Looking to reverse your type 2 diabetes? Read this book. It gives you all the science. Don’t want to read the book? Principles are really simple, low carb, good fat diet and intermittent fasting. I would also include HIgh Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) to strength muscles and maintain metabolic rate. Fasting has been used for thousands of years and it was the earliest forms of help for type 2 until the drugs companies got involved. I am now in remission. I am still working on reducing my insulin resistance but am drug free with normal BG .
