PWR TRANSFORMATION 💪🏼
⠀
Today I am focussing on the strength changes in the past couple months - Here’s a few things I’ve improved on!
⠀
✨
2kg ▸ 20kg bench press
2kg ▸ 14kg incline bench press
10kg ▸ 15kg face pull (cable)
2kg ▸ 7kg goblet squat
20kg ▸ 30kg crunch (cable)
10kg ▸ 12kg oblique crunch
2kg ▸ 7kg tricep extension (overhead)
✨
⠀
Since starting PWR I feel so much stronger. This year it’s been really hard being at a standstill in my life with nothing to progress in except recovery - “only having 20 headaches today” is hard to celebrate without getting upset. Tracking my weights throughout this PWR program has been amazing for my mental health, and as a bonus physically I feel tighter and more toned all over! 💗
⠀
Have an a relaxing weekend everyone!! 💫

6 hours on her 6th birthday ... It went so quick ... ⏰
To anyone who is in a shared parenting arrangement, these times can literally make you or break you.

She is gone now, but I KNOW we did everything we could to make it a memorable one for her 🎂
She left feeling loved and important on her special day and that’s all the matters ♥️ For the mommies out there with empty souls when they’re separated from their children, rest assured you are not alone.

We carry a grief that is like no other, but we show our brave face when it really counts.

This calls for a stress relief and for me that looks like a workout + yoga 🧘‍♀️ Namaste 🙏🏻 #sharedparenting #griefisajourney

The physical differences are staggering, but surprisingly, the biggest difference between the two is my perspective on life. So much of my worldview was predicated on being overweight, being viewed and treated a certain way. Rather than blaming myself, I’d just feel like a victim and think it wasn’t my fault I was fat. It was my family’s or x or y, genetics, metabolism, etc. I don’t think I ever truly believed those things, but they felt good to think and repeat aloud. I wasn’t mentally strong enough to accept the reality, accept that regardless of how I got here, I’m accountable for what to do about it.
I wallowed in that state for years, avoiding my weight half the time, feeling self conscious about it in public half the time. Hopping on World of Warcraft or reading books from the moment I got home until the moment I went to sleep, escaping reality as much as possible. Avoiding my reality.

I don’t remember what the initial catalyst was, but somewhere around there, I simply started doing something about it. I think I’d been subconsciously aware I was avoiding my problems for years, but some culmination of events brought my self esteem up just enough to where I was able to start taking action— going to the gym, lifting/eating better, and dropping WoW entirely, cold turkey.
I’m hugely privileged that I lived in an environment where I was easily able to access a gym, easily able to transition to eating healthy, able to be somewhat supported with my decisions. Because of that, my experience and lessons may not be applicable to everyone.
If I had to give some advice, though— you know that thing that you’ve been lying to yourself about forever, that secretly you know is an issue? That nags at you every so often, but you’re just comfortable enough to ignore it and push the thought away temporarily? Confront it. Acknowledge it. Accept blame and accountability. And start taking steps towards doing something about it. It’s freeing, liberating, and the first step in living a life you can truly enjoy, but more importantly, a life where you can truly enjoy yourself.

Don’t let your mind hold you back. You are more than your mind. Take control of your life.

Severe lack of updates on the skyline of late, mainly due to the fact I’ve been waiting 3 months for my crank to come back from the engineers. Managed to get some colour on the camshaft covers today so all the engine covers are painted and ready 😍 absolutely love this green!
Once the crank is finally done it’s just a case of engine assembly and put it in the car 🤞🏻👌🏻 #nissan #skyline #r33 #gtst #400club #rb25det #jdm #rwd #builtnotbought #diy #homebuild #paint #hulkgreen #metallic #rattlecanpaintjob #progresspic

*for reference, I’m 5ft tall*
I am not naturally skinny. I had to “work” really really hard (insane calorie deficit and tons of cardio) to go below 120lbs. I did so purely because I wanted to win a npc show. Well. I did, and it really didn’t do anything for my life except I lived 4ish years of having to work THAT hard to stay competitive in my height class. •
135lbs is just where my body seems to be the happiest. I say this because I do not have to track or add in cardio to maintain this weight. I am strong, I feel strong, and even better, my hormone health is at an all time high. (Also, I have a social life that doesn’t revolve around my diet; nor do I have to bring up what I can or can’t eat/do into every conversation). •
This is not a post skinny shaming, nor is it a post telling everyone to never compete in any type of fitness competition. This is merely an encouragement for anyone who may be able to relate to my particular story (as it relates to body/fitness). I say this all the time but I’ll say it again:
your best weight is whatever weight you reach when you are living your healthiest life that you actually enjoy.

I've got a really cool story to share with you all.
.
I've been working with Marie for some time now.
.
When I first met Marie I could see this meant the world to her, she was in pain daily (she was told she had osteoarthritis and only a hip replacement was the answer) and the most simple tasks were more painful than we can imagine.
.
She had tried many things already looking on google for answers and nothing had worked.
.
She knew the exact reason why she wanted to lose weight and what it meant to her, the world. This type of motivation is unbreakable.
.
It's been a challenging journey as it is for anyone who goes through this sort of weight loss process. You can't lose this sort of weight without becoming a completely different person (to some extent).
.
She's incredibly determined and never looked back.
.
With a plan which essentially allowed her to continue to socialise and not overally restrict her from the things that mean the most, she's just gone from strength to strength.
.
So what did we do?
- Established a nutrition strategy via tracking which allowed Marie to manage social occasions (she loves a chin wag)
- A training plan which didn't cause unbearable pain
- Kept activity levels high via a step count target
- Checked in with me most days for accountability and assurance.
.
Did the above consistently and Marie has lost a massive 40kg! (Just over 6 stone).
.
Shes been amazing and her hard work has resulted in her getting her life back.
.
I. Am. So. Damn. Proud! 😀
.
Please share the love as she duly deserves it!

👉🏻I’ve been back to eating keto since Monday (after a two week hiatus), started my nightly crunches Tuesday and had my first hike today. I haven’t been in a calorie deficit, just focusing on getting back into the groove of keto. Although the scale has gone down a few pounds, the difference in my stomach is mostly bloat and water weight. Even though I know better, it can sometimes be easy to fall into the trap of convincing myself that I’ve undone all of my hard work overnight. Leaving this here to remind myself that it takes time to lose weight and it takes time to gain weight. There is no way a day, a week or even a month can undo everything we’ve worked so hard for. We’re only one choice away from being right back on track. ✨Also- I thought about apologizing for my early morning makeup free selfies, but I’m not sorry for them at all 🥰 What I am sorry for are all of the perfectly manicured pictures on Instagram that make us think we are less worthy because we are normal women who don’t always look like we stepped off the cover of a magazine 🙌🏼 Go out and be yourself today, you look beautiful like that ♥️
