WHITE WALL PAINT || Have you ever painted your walls White and had them turn out more pink, more purple, or a little dirty looking? 🤷🏽♀️
Choosing White paint for your home can be tricky because there are so many versions of White paint and a lot of things to consider.
White walls are versatile, they feel fresh, light and airy, they work with all kinds of décor and they can make a room feel bigger, brighter and more uplifting.
Here’s how to choose the right White paint for your walls:
⚪️ Warm or Cool - how do you want the space to feel? Cool Whites are bright and Warm Whites bring a more cosy feel.
⚪️ Lighting - consider the how much natural and artificial light will be in the space. Rooms that have lots of northern light (for you Southern Hemisphere folk) will make the wall paint appear lighter.
⚪️ Sheen - I like to use very low sheen paint on walls, this means that the flat paint sheens will absorb the most light bringing out the truest colour of the paint.
⚪️ Sample Pots - while one White paint might be right for one home it doesn’t mean it will be the right White for yours. Head to @bunnings and grab a sample pot, paint a swatch next to a window, corner of the room, close to the floor and experience how the colour works in your space.
Our home features @duluxaus Lexicon Half - it’s pretty much their brightest White paint was a touch of Black (so this fits into the Cool White category).
BUT if in doubt seek and expert to help pick the right White for your home. We make the process easy, ensure the right hue and tone of paint is selected with the light considerations and other colours in your home and help you void a wrong choice and re-painting in the future!
