This morning I’m enjoying my breakfast of Peanut Butter Overnight Oats whilst soaking up some sun rays, sitting in my garden!🌸

This is another delicious recipe from the amazing @foodie.yuki and it is so simple to make, you just need to remember to make the pots the night before, then top them in the morning and enjoy the lovely cold soaked oats!🌸

Makes two pots.
125ml oat milk
50g natural peanut butter
50g rolled oats
1tbsp pure maple syrup
1tsp vanilla bean paste 
Topped the following morning with 100g @alpro no sugar yogurt, fresh fig, blueberries, raw almonds and of course, edible flowers!🌸

I carboidrati hanno una cattiva reputazione in molte diete, accusati per essere la causa dell'aumento della massa grassa, affermazione vera se il soggetto consuma i carboidrati sbagliati nel momento sbagliato della giornata e soprattutto in quantità eccessive. Al contrario i carboidrati sono FONDAMENTALI per l'organismo, che deve sfruttare le riserve di glicogeno contenute nei muscoli durante l'allenamento, dove il glicogeno è l'energia, la benzina per il motore. Per questo senza carboidrati non si avranno riserve di energia ed il corpo inizierà a pescarle ad esempio dalle fibre muscolari per produrla.
Buona abitudine è quindi quella di consumare carboidrati con un basso indice glicemico prima del tuo allenamento, più sani e a rilascio di energia più lento e graduale.
Il Riso Basmati è un eccellente alimento a basso indice glicemico, anche rispetto al riso tradizionale, per eliminare i picchi glicemici improvvisi ed i conseguenti attacchi di fame e garantire sazietà ed energia costante e prolungata al nostro organismo. L'amido del riso ha infatti un potere saziante maggiore di quello della pasta e di conseguenza le calorie totali di un piatto di riso diventano molte meno, ma tu sei comunque sazio; inoltre il riso non contiene glutine, spesso responsabile di gonfiori e digestioni lente. In conclusione: da domani riso a volontà! Quanto? Io me ne preparo poco più di mezzo bicchiere a pasto. 🍚

Starting at 09h00 on Saturday, September 21st, we’ll help knock out the remaining projects at the church in Lisbon.  Working hours are flexible, so you can come in and help for as long as you can. The classic Lat Pulldown is a great exercise for the back. Just follow these 3 simple cues when performing the movement to ensure you get the most out of the exercise. 1). Chest out back arched ✅ 2). Shoulders blades down and back ✅ 3). Focus on “Pulling down” from the elbows, instead of your hands ✅. Okay, so, it’s been a hot minute, I know... (do people still say that?!)

The last few months have been a whirlwind of excitement and anxiety 😫 I’ve been on vacations, teaching new classes and training more folks, trying on wedding dresses, applying for grad school, you name it!

In the middle of all of it, I’ve still been putting in WERK to shed for the wed; however, I’ve taken a little break from social media for my mental heath and clarity.

It’s SO easyyyyy to get caught up in this ISH! It gets to you, peoples “perfect lives” get to you. This facade that everyone has their shit together is NOT REAL and I needed a break. I decided to work for myself, and only myself, for a while

I figured if other people’s posts can get to me some days, than if my own posts are doing ANYTHING other than helping folks and keeping me motivated, I don’t want any parts of it for now. My mission is to HELP! I’m back with a better focus on what this page serves to do- to serve YOU!! I’ll be around 😘 and you better be loving yourself! 👊🏼
