TO be completely honest, and completely vulnerable…I can not tell you how many times I have bashed on my own self, my feelings, my emotions, my body, and who I was. I have told myself countless times that I had to hide who I really was, or what I really thought, because I thought no one wanted to know, or would agree with me, or they just wouldn’t like me. I asked myself countless times…AM I WORTHY? I did it, and I did it in a way that hurt me more than probably, anyone knows.
✨
In order to have true self love, first you need to face all of your pain from a place of love. Which is so easy to say….but SO hard to do. I for SURE have not mastered that yet, but it is something I am working on.
✨
How can you meet things with love, when you have pain you haven’t worked through? Maybe you have learned to tolerate it, or walk with it, but haven’t quite reached the point of LOVE for it.
✨
That is the journey…How can we meet ourselves in a place of true love and tenderness to the SELF? How can we search for transformation..REAL transformation, through that self love?
✨
Maybe a lot of it comes down to awareness…are we aware of the moments when we are coming at ourselves harshly? Are we even thinking twice about it? Are we even AWARE of what we are doing and what is going on around us?
✨
I know I ask a lot of questions in this post, but that just means that I am ALSO working through these topics as well. And I want you to see those days, apart from the fitness. It all goes hand in hand.

Who loves pancakes? Here is a favorite  the kids love and packed full of nutrition. 
Juice Plus Pancakes

INGREDIENTS
1 scoop Juice PLUS + Complete Vanilla
1 mashed banana 
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 Shot almond milk
100g / ¾ cup blueberries

PREPARATION
Mash a banana. Add the eggs, baking powder, Juice PLUS+ Complete Vanilla and almond milk and blend. Stir 2/3 of the blueberries in the mixture.  Fry pancakes and garnish with remaining blueberries. If you wish, add honey or maple syrup to garnish.

*Crema cacahuate/almendra.
*Plátano.
*Manzana rallada o en cuadritos.
*Pera rallada.

*Chispas de chocolate amargo o sin azúcar. *Coco rallado, amaranto, almendra fileteada.
*Mermelada casera/ mermelada sin azúcar.

El procedimiento es igual, SÚPER SENCILLO, echas la mezcla echas el relleno/topping, y echas más mezcla encima 🤗 y Listooooo.

20-30 grs de avena en copos.

Ideas for non-traditional gluten-free, dairy free breakfast. Lentils/ spinach/cilantro/parsley/mushroom salad (super yummy), beet salad, eggs (from our own chickens) with dills, sheep feta (I consider dairy mostly cow products), almond pancakes with flax and hemp seeds, and lots of fruits and vegetables. But here’s the ugly truth, friends...I #treatmyself wayyy too much. Like when I’m tired, sad, overwhelmed, hungry, or lonely. I also flush the dollahs when I work hard and don’t feel adequately noticed or praised. When I feel sick, anxious, or depressed. When I’m struggling to ditch bad habits. When I put in effort to nurture my body. When my daughter is tired, or grumpy, or exhausting. When I’m uncomfortable sitting with certain feelings. When I have a fight with my husband. And yes, of course, when I have full days of adulting responsibilities.

 Do you see how Ive met mental +physical +emotional needs with treats + rewards?
.
All those treats I’ve indulged in simply for doing ordinary tasks required of responsible humans. I shouldn’t need revolving doors of treats + praise to manage my responsibilities without melting, but I’ve learned to depend on them! Even though I know my anxiety+depression only increases with financial stress from buying comfort.

Rewards and celebrations aren’t evil, but I think it’s worth asking why we feel the need to compulsively t.r.e.a.t. ourselves so often.
What if we treated ourselves more for...
Triumphs.
Rare occasions.
Extraordinary excellence. 
Astounding achievements.
Transformational moments.

Do you think our stress + spirit of entitlement would shift with new perspective? Would great achievements increase exponentially if we honored commitments + valued consistency over comfort?

When I’m struggling to ditch bad habits. When I put in effort to nurture my body. When my daughter is tired, or grumpy, or exhausting. When I’m uncomfortable sitting with certain feelings. When I have a fight with my husband. And yes, of course, when I have full days of adulting responsibilities. . Do you see how Ive met mental +physical +emotional needs with treats + rewards? . All those treats I’ve indulged in simply for doing ordinary tasks required of responsible humans. I shouldn’t need revolving doors of treats + praise to manage my responsibilities without melting, but I’ve learned to depend on them! Even though I know my anxiety+depression only increases with financial stress from buying comfort. . . Rewards and celebrations aren’t evil, but I think it’s worth asking why we feel the need to compulsively t.r.e.a.t. ourselves so often. What if we treated ourselves more for... Triumphs. Rare occasions. Extraordinary excellence. Astounding achievements. Transformational moments. . . Do you think our stress + spirit of entitlement would shift with new perspective? Would great achievements increase exponentially if we honored commitments + valued consistency over comfort? . . Imagine what could happen if we believed extraordinary things are possible for anyone who puts in the hard work + sacrifice to become an expert in anything. . . I don’t know about you, but I was skeptical about "squash" soup before I tried it!! It just doesn’t sound appetizing 🤷🏻‍♀️, or at least it didn’t to me!
