My sweet, sassy, smart, beautiful baby girl turned O N E yesterday. I swear I gave birth to her like yesterday and this doesn’t feel real. I miss my bump & those little kicks, but nothing beats holding you in my arms, watching you sleep, and seeing you smile & talk to me.
This past year you have truly amazed me with your intelligence and your pure fearlessness. From the first day in the hospital we knew you were special. You slept almost the whole first night and once we brought you home, you continued to sleep through the night, waking up to nurse once. You rolled over before 4 weeks old, sat up at 4 months, and just had to be early at everything. Except being born of course 😂
We were in awe of you, we still are. And also so in love. Being a girl mom has been a different, yet incredibly inspiring & beautiful experience. My heart officially split into two when you were born. You are our princess, you are so protected not only by us but by your big brother.
Your are fearless- somersaulting off of furniture. You are adventurous - climbing to the top of the stairs, smiling ear to ear the whole trek up. You are sassy - although you play incredibly well independently, you loveeeee attention and you’ll do anything to receive it. You are smart - always attempting to mimic the words we say and the sounds we make. Animal noises are your favorite right now. You are silly - dancing whenever we put music on and giggling at your brother when he gets coocoo. You have the most contagious laugh and your sweet giggles melt my heart. You are funny- your sense of humor is out of this world, you love growling like a dinosaur and doing whatever it takes to get anyone to laugh. You are sweet - always shooting us a smile, giving kisses, and all those cuddles we adore so much.
I didn’t think I could get so lucky with not one but two perfect, smart, healthy, and funny children. You have completed our family and more ways than I can truly express. Although watching you grow up is bittersweet, seeing you accomplish new milestones, develop a personality, and start to really play with your brother is something I wouldn’t change for anything in this world 🌮💛🌵 - 14 minutes ago
