Mayo Clinic researchers studied the effects of HIIT on people over age 65. What they discovered may surprise you: Some age-related deterioration of muscle cells had actually been reversed.

- Indoor cycling 🚴‍♀️ 3.5km each round.
- Rowing 🚣🏽‍♀️ 500m each round.

I NEED AN INSTRUCTOR TO GET A GOOD WORKOUT IN
I get told on a regular basis by busy people they don’t have time to go to classes. Why not workout at home? “oh no that wouldn’t work for me I need an instructor to push me”. And do you know what I get it I really do because that was me 5 years ago before I had kids. 
I loved going to the gym & teaching a class, working out with friends or getting my ass kicked by fellow instructors.
Then I had Tadhg & things changed. I became a mammy, he didn’t sleep when I wanted him to & worst of all at that time Shane worked away from home. If I wanted to do a workout or a class I firstly needed energy & second of all a babysitter. 
Fitness professionals told me to suck it up, just find the time, pay for a babysitter or that I wasn’t really committed but they weren’t in my situation & maybe never had been.
Fast forward another 2 years & I have 2 kids I’m more tired, have less time & make loads of excuses to not workout because I can’t get to a class. That is when the penny finally dropped: 💥 I DON’T KNOW WHEN I WILL BE ABLE TO GET BACK TO CLASSES 💥

But I need to workout because I feel better, I enjoy working out & I’m a better Mammy. Below is how I made at home workouts work for me.
💪🏻 I do my workout & walk the pup in 1hr
💪🏻 I incentivise myself to push harder because I want to get stronger
💪🏻 I am my own instructor & always push for 1 more.
💪🏻 I work on all of something rather than all or nothing so if I don’t have a lot of time that’s ok as well.
💪🏻 I workout with the boys, it’s not easy there are lots of interruptions, questions, wants. But they love seeing me workout & make me push harder with lots of “don’t stop Mammy”
💪🏻 I only have 1 body which has a chronic disease which won’t be going away so I want it to be as strong & powerful as it can be for me & my famjam

Don’t get me wrong I would prefer to get to a gym or a class for the social aspect but that’s not feesible at the moment but I will be back when the boys are both in school & I get some time back!
