I was writing this as I sit in my office over looking my lush green backyard. How lucky are we to live in such a stunning part of the world?! I am grateful for it daily.
Surrounded by green. So many shades of green. Green is the colour of the heart energy, and one that naturally recharges and soothes our senses.
Wherever you live, I invite you to look around and soak in the many different shades of green that Mother Nature has to offer us. Let it soak into your cells and nourish your being.
If you live somewhere that doesn’t have a lot of greenery surrounding you, then close your eyes. Take some deep breaths as you do this, and visualise the richness of a green forest, a park, a luscious valley full of greenery and invite in the calming and soothing energy of green. Allow it to permeate in and around your heart. Visualise it growing and expanding, opening your heart to allow the wounds of your journey to be soothed and healed. Opening your heart then to those around you, no matter what their story, for they walk their own journey and have their own wounds to be soothed and healed.
Can we step into kindness and compassion, with an open heart to even strangers that cross our path? Seeing beyond their skin and having empathy for their story, knowing they too have their own struggles. None of us are alone in that. We all have our very human experiences.
Can we send love and light to those who are in struggle? If not outwardly, then with silent intention. For it is an energetic offering from the heart that rises above the rubble and lands in the hearts of those in need.
Opening our hearts at this time of year is often easier with the coming festive season as a gentle reminder for kindness and compassion.
So, let the green soak in, and I hope to see you on the yoga mat soon.
I am wishing you all kindness, compassion and may your breath be ever replenishing.
Love and light,
