Persimmons 🧡 with goat cheese, pistachio, za’atar, pomegranate, esprit du sel (herbs de Provence), balsamico, and olive oil. .
I've been playing around with persimmon for a while and this is one of the dishes I'm very happy with the way it turned out. If you are tired of squash this, and squash that, try this perfect bite. It's sweet, salty, crunchy, and sour, all in one bite. Right up my alley. 💗 It's not hard to make and you don't need to measure anything. I promise it will be a great appetizer for Thanksgiving!!
Here's the recipe:
Peel and slice persimmon into about 1/4 inch (7mm) thickness, and put crumbled goat cheese on top. Throw in the oven at 400 F (200 C) for 8 min. Then add the rest of the ingredients indicated above on top. voilà! .
If you don't have za'atar, try with other spices such as cumin, cinnamon, dry oregano, whatever you can find in your spice rack.
If you don't have herbs de provence, then use regular sea salt.
If you don't have olive oil, then you better go buy some good olive oil now. 😁
It's okay not to follow the recipe exactly (not that I wrote a detailed recipe😆). Always play with food and trust your pallet. That's how you become better at cooking.💗
