Lets talk freedom.
Freedom to be who you want to be. Freedom to achieve to the level you know you deserve to be. Freedom to be yourself, your true and authentic self. Freedom to love, to believe, to know, to understand, to change and initiate change.
I believe we are to defend those freedoms and I believe it is on us as parents and future parents to defend freedoms for the generations that come behind us. It’s our responsibility to leave this world better. We start that with our family, then our community, then beyond. If we want to change the country yet do nothing in our own home we’ve missed the mark. You can’t make change in a country if you yourself are not willing to change and make those around you better. You are to defend and promote the ideals that you believe in, because conflicting opinions, however controversial things may be, are what falls right in line with freedom. If you can’t hear other sides of the debate then look within yourself because no change, at home or on a national scale, can be made without discussion. Discussion is speaking and listening. If you can’t listen you can’t spur change. You may think you’re insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but your ability to defend freedom for you and your family rests in your ability to discuss, to communicate, to listen. Start at home and show those you love that you’re determined to defend their freedoms. I wore a uniform to do so, but you don’t have to join the military. Just allow cooperation within your circle. We owe it to the future generations to be better people raising better families within a better community. - 6 hours ago
