2️⃣7️⃣ THINGS I’VE LEARNED ABOUT HEALTH/FITNESS/NUTRITION - PT. 2
In 27 years I feel like I’ve learned enough about health and fitness for a lifetime, but I know you might be a little behind me. 😜
In wrapping up part two today, I want you to know that it DOES get better. Getting shape DOES get easier. You CAN have what you want out of life, and your body. You just need to take the leap.
1️⃣5️⃣ A $15 fat burner isn’t going to help you burn fat. You get what you pay for. 🤷🏼♀️
1️⃣6️⃣ You don’t need to punish yourself with exercise. If you eat an extra “piece of cake,” then great. Enjoy it; don’t eat it and be miserable.
1️⃣7️⃣ If you go out to eat, you aren’t just strapped to eating a salad.
1️⃣8️⃣ Eating after 7, 8, or 9 pm won’t make you “fat.”
1️⃣9️⃣ No, you don’t have to eat breakfast as soon as you wake up. (But, I do recommend it if you need proper brain function for work, or, if you’re hungry.)
2️⃣0️⃣ Intermittent Fasting can be a form of disordered eating if you let it (this will piss someone off but I’m saying it anyway, lol). And no, it doesn’t inherently burn “more fat.”
2️⃣1️⃣ THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A “FAT” OR “SUGAR BURNING ZONE.” Read that again.
2️⃣2️⃣ I don’t care what celebrity endorses what product; they’re getting paid thousands to promote it. They DON’T actually use it.
2️⃣3️⃣ Real, whole food is better for you 10/10 times than a powdered drink, or pill supplement. Don’t @ me.
2️⃣4️⃣ If you want to be healthy, you need to eat whole foods, exercise, keep low stress, and get enough sleep. If one is faulty, it can throw everything off.
2️⃣5️⃣ Coffee is not a substitute for sleep. Promise.
2️⃣6️⃣ It’s REALLY difficult to lose body fat while drinking alcohol/partying. (Yes, even “low calorie” beer or “skinny” margaritas.)
2️⃣7️⃣ The second you say “I don’t know what to do,” or “I don’t know what I’m doing in the gym” is the moment you need to hire a trainer/Coach to help you. No one should struggle alone.
