Trying to be accountable here but it’s cold as shit in NZ compared to Hawaii and I’m literally wearing every piece of warm clothing I brought, including my toque today... and that includes during my session 😬

I’m also a day ahead so it’s technically Thursday which kind of messes with my schedule but whatever, I skipped yoga yesterday, did that today instead and didn’t repeat the circuit... also since I can’t seem to do half burpees I only did 5 because I was doing full ones and upped the seated twists to 60... tho really it’s those damn walking lunges that killed me as my thighs are still sore from the squats last time!
Will be going forward with Friday’s circuit tomorrow and adding one round of Wednesday’s circuit to it as well to make up for today...
Those stretches posted at the end are to be done before as well as afterwards and there should be a bit of pre-warmup cardio (3-5min) beforehand.
Finally felt warm enough to take off the toque and outermost sweater halfway thru, but then had to put them both back on minutes after as I didn’t even break into a sweat and almost immediately felt cold after my workout 🥶😕
May need to snuggle with my kiddo tonight as he’s like a little portable heater...

Slicing my way out of sickness like..... 🗡

This is my number 2 favorite SBZ song and routine. So much so that by the time I went to become a  licensed SBZ instructor, I had already memorised this one from YouTube, even if I mess it up sometimes like you see here🙈. ⚡️
Can you hear me gasping for air, too? 😂 I'm laughing but I recently discovered that I may have Exercise-Induced Bronchoconstriction (EIB). I say "may" because I have not had it confirmed by a doctor yet, even though all the ones I previously saw for my heart and lungs ever since I was a child said, "something is definitely not right, but I just can't see what." Thanks, docs! 😒

Reading about the condition sounds like what I've been experiencing whenever I do high intensity training. So, I may have been too harsh with myself and my poor conditionning (which is a symptom of EIB), which I've always had even though I participated in a lot of sports in high school (until I was given a note that barred me from exercising because of my poor conditionning that the doctors were still trying to figure the cause of). Well, my dears, it sounds like I have a few more trips to the doctor's ahead of me. 🙈

Did I mention that on top of wheezing and other symptoms I get a lot of mucus production during and after every high intensity training? 🤮

This study compared the effect of high-intensity interval training (HIIT)  Tabata, and moderate-intensity short bout  training (MIT) for 4 weeks on whole-body energy systems, and abdominal fat mass (FM) in Female & Male subjects between the ages of 22 and 65.

Methods:
25 women and 25 men (22-65; 1 years; BMI: 31-1kg.m-2) were randomly assigned to either a HIIT Battling ropes (12 Mins at 2 Mins bouts 77-80% HRmax, 60 seconds of active recovery)] or MIT (Medium to high intensity training) (12 min at 3 Min bouts 60-75% of their individual HRR) using the Inertia Wave program for 8 weeks, 4 days/week. Infa-red, and hydrosatic tanks were used to measure whole-body and regional Fat Mass (FM) content, including abdominal adipose and visceral adipose tissue. Levels of nutritional intake were the same, no added, or decreased calories throughout the 4- weeks.

Results:
Overall, total Fat Mass (FM) decreased and total fat-free mass (M) Muscle significantly increased with the Inertia Wave group over the 4-weeks (by around 3-4%). Total (FM) reduction at the end of the intervention was significantly different between the Battling rope group VS. the Inertia Wave group. However, significant loss of total abdominal fat (-8.3 - 2.2%) and visceral (-24.2 - 7.7%) FM was observed only with Inertia Wave TM. Subjects felt less stress and strain on their shoulder and elbow joints. Subjects expresses more euphoric feeling with the IW. (Inertia Wave).
