Pumpkin Samosas (Samsa) with Cilantro Mint Chutney by  @naturallyzuzu 💚

Makes 14-15 samosas 
Note: I used Store bought vegan Empanada Wrappers for quick version. (1 pack) 
Skip the dough making part if you’re using pre-made wrappers as well. 
Homemade Dough
2 cups all purpose flour 
1 teaspoon Salt
2-3 tablespoons avocado oil 
1/2 cup hot Water
3 tbps of non dairy yogurt 
one handful Sesame Seeds
Filling
1 medium size Butternut Squash (about 2 cups) 
1 large red onion
5-6 fresh curry leaves (optional) 
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Cumin 
2 tsp of coconut or date sugar 
3 tablespoons Avocado Oil
Method: 
Preheat oven to 380 degrees F.
In a stand mixer, combine flour, hot water, non dairy yogurt, and salt and kneed dough for 5 minutes until dough is smooth. cover and rest for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, mince onion and pumpkin. I used my food processor to mince all the filling ingredients coarsely. Mix with salt, pepper, cumin, sugar and oil. 
Divide the dough into 12-15 pieces. Make a ball, dust the surface lightly with flour and roll out each dough ball into 4-5 inch diameter. Repeat the process with each dough pieces. They don’t have to be perfectly round. Fill each dough with. 2 tbsp of pumpkin mixture and fold it in triangle. Watch my highlights for step step instructions. Fill all dough wrappers with the pumpkin filling. 
Line cookie trays with some parchment paper. Place the samosas with folder side down on the cookie tray. Brush each samosa with some almond or soy milk, sprinkle with some black sesame seeds and bake them for 30 min until top is golden brown.  Enjoy with some mint chutney. Heute gabs zum Frühstück Proteinshake, Mittag Proteinshake 🙈 da mußte es heute Abend einfach was zum Beißen geben. Deshalb gabs Hackvleischpfanne (next Level @lidlde ) mit Mais und Paprika,... vielen Zwiebeln, Hefeflocken 🥰 dazu Reis und Gemüse... Der Tag war lange ... ich flieg hier noch ein wenig durch sie Gegend und dann ist Couch Zeit.

After applying a mist or essence, the next best thing to apply is an active, because the mists help increase their absorption. An active is any product you are using to treat specific concerns such as acne or hyperpigmentation. .

Currently, I do not have anything that specially needs to be targeted, so I have been using a trial size of @herbivorebotanicals Bakuchiol and I really like it. Bakuchiol is supposed to have similar benefits to retinol, but is much gentler on the skin, and does not cause redness and irritation. I have not used retinol before and am not sure I really need it yet, so I think that this is a great introduction to this type of product. Such products should be applied at night as they can cause photo sensitivity and you should be sure to use sunscreen during the day.

THOUGHTS ON GAME CHANGERS DOC FROM A VEGAN FIT PRO 🏋🏼‍♀️🌱 So there's been a lot of controversy about this Netflix documentary, and I understand why.

Honestly? I was disappointed. I'm all for promoting veganism, but not in a way that is biased and doesn't take into account research from both sides of the argument.
🌱 "Meat will kill you" isn't true. @martinnutrition made a great post on this, explaining that meat eaters are generally less healthy, and that will lead to many implications when it comes to their health.

If you look at healthy meat eaters, they have on average the same rates of death from many different causes as plant based eaters, who are on average a healthier eating population.
🌱 "Plant protein is better than animal protein". There are benefits to both proteins and they are "better" than each other in different ways. Plant proteins contain some nutrients absent in animal proteins, but may take longer to digest. Animal proteins are often higher in cholesterol, but lots of them are complete sources of protein.

Both have good and bad points, and it's your choice to choose whether you want to eat only plant proteins or a balance of both.

I am vegan, and of course I'm all for a vegan lifestyle, but please make sure you do your own research and don't just use bias documentaries if you are considering veganism for all the reasons spoken about in the doc.

And documentary makers, PLEASE stop using bias evidence to make all of us other vegans seem silly!! It's embarrassing 😂

I don't about where you are guys today but here it's so cold - the only thing I want is to cuddle in front of the fire with a bowl of soup. & if you are in need of soup inspiration this is one of my favourite - Parsley and celeriac... it's super creamy and delicious.⁠

1 Large Celeriac⁠
250 g Parsley⁠
1 Shallot⁠
1 Garlic clove⁠
500 ml of stock (chicken or vegetable)⁠
1 Tbsp. Olive oil⁠
2 Tbsp. Crème Fraîche or coconut yogurt for a vegan option⁠
Salt⁠
Pepper⁠
•⠀⁠

Method⁠
💚⁠
•⠀⁠
Wash your Parsley, cut the very ends and keep a few leaves for garnish. Peel the celeriac and cut into cubes. Peel and chop finely the shallot and garlic.⁠
•⠀⁠
In a saucepan, gently heat the olive oil and cook the shallot and garlic. You want them to soften not brown.⁠
•⠀⁠
Add the parsley, roughly chopped and the celeriac. Pour the stock into the pan and leave to simmer for 20 minutes. Blend to your liking. I personally like my soup to have a little texture but this depends on individual preference.⁠
•⠀⁠
Season to taste and serve in to 2 bowls with a teaspoon of crème fraîche, a few parsley leaves to garnish and a couple of turns on the black pepper grinder.⁠
