Hello Capture One world! @michaelclarkphoto here. Over the next week I will be sharing a variety of adventure images created with the FUJIFILM GFX 100 and edited in Capture One Pro. While shooting an assignment for the launch of the GFX 100 in late April this year, I was informed that Capture One already supported the new raw image files before the camera was even shipped out. It seemed like the perfect time to download the software and learn how to use it.
In the image above, Savannah Cummins (@sav.cummins ) is climbing the route Go Sparky Go (5.11) on the Sparks Wall in Indian Creek, Utah. I had an assistant on an adjacent climb with a powerful strobe to light her up, which allowed me to underexpose the clouds in the background. In Capture One Pro, I was able to fine-tune the shadows, add some pop to the overall image using clarity and polish the image so that the soft glow of the strobe subtly highlighted Savannah. -
