8 Weeks of Reverse Dieting!

AND… my scale weight has been up for the last two weeks since I increased from 1650/day to 1700/day.
.
Week 7 it was up 0.86 lbs and week 8 (last week) I ended up 0.37 lbs, so up about 1.3 lbs. Honestly, not super pumped about it since I want to be up at least 100 calories more! WHY? I just still feel a little hungry. I’d love to be able to add in an afternoon snack to my current schedule.
.
I’m still optimistic I can push calories up a tiny bit more.
.
1) last week/this week is my PMS time, so scale weight may flush back down a little;
.
2) my measurements are still the same! Up a TINY bit in the waist and bust, but that’s normal for me during PMS!
.
3) my steps have been down a little bit over the last 2 weeks. My days have been less routine with just more STUFF going on during this holiday time of year, which is to be expected. Goal this weekend is to get my steps up from where I was last weekend. I find that I do best when I get a morning walk in, but I’m finally SLEEPING SO MUCH BETTER!! so I’ve been rolling with the flow and enjoying actually “sleeping in” on the weekends.

And 4) I had multiple PR’s in the gym today!! I am feeling really strong and overall  less fatigued in the gym.

To share with you guys what Susan reminded me of this morning - when #reversedieting you really need to consider the 1-2 lb scale weight buffer. This allows for holding more water in the muscles (glycogen from more carbs), undigested food contents, more sodium consumption (natural with more food intake in general). If you can increase intake within this 1-2 lb buffer, you should!
.
For me it’s just a process of not overshooting. I’m being a little {too}sensitive about not wanting leg measurements to increase. But I worked so damn hard. So I’m staying patient and slow.
.
Funny thing is - could I have just increased to 1700/d right away after my cut and been in the same place I am now, 8 weeks ago? Quite possibly!! But navigating the mental side is a huge part of the process. Slower, gradual increases gives your mind/perception a chance to slowly change gears as well.

Piattino di oggi: tajine con spezzatino di vitello, patate, zucchine, olive nere, peperoni e mix di spezie. 
Modestamente, questo piatto di origine nord africana, è un mio cavallo di battaglia. Viene letteralmente adorato dai membri della mia famiglia. 
È adattabile alla vostra dieta! Per esempio viene molto bene anche con il pollo o completamente vegetale con i ceci. 
Anche di questo troverete la ricetta sul sito (link in bio) appena mi sarà possibile.

Per prepararlo vi serve il tegame interamente in terra cotta da cui la ricetta prende il nome. La particolarità è che la cottura avviene al vapore delle stesse verdure che ci mettete. Il calore si irradia dal basso verso l'alto dove si raffredda quando incontra la scodellina piena d'acqua in cima al tegame. Scorrete le foto per farvi una idea della cottura. 
Per questa ricetta quindi vi serve: un tajine in terracotta, un frangifiamma in ghisa (il tajine non deve entrare in contatto con il fuoco), verdure a piacere, patate, carne o pesce o legumi, spezie, olio (poco!) e sale (poco!). Ma soprattutto fantasia!  Sbizzarritevi negli abbinamenti!
