Stilt-Legged Fly, mimics the Jack Jumper ant, a native Australian ant.
I had a thought while I was looking at the face of this fly, I noticed that all the insects that I came across that mimic other insects, they mimic them in everything except the, the face! which made me wonder if insects can actually see sharp details like we do, maybe everything for them is blurry and can only see the general shape and behaviour of other objects... Just a thought!
This image is now available in my online shop 2bluebugs.com/shop. link is also in bio! Go grab a print of this alien looking fly 😁
