Not even gona hide my excitement at this today!

My comp PB (raw) is only 230kg and this 220kg felt pretty easy so it’s clear I’m not all that far away from where I was! •

I want to take the chance to say congratulations to Stuart. We have been working together for 4 weeks now on a 121 basis.

Stuart has had sessions with me 3 times per week for the last month and we have achieved some great results. We were aiming for 1 stone off and managed more than we had hoped.

Stuart has lost a whopping 1 stone 7 lbs and lost 10 inches from around his body. He has worked hard in the gym but also just as hard outside to get here.

Super proud of this man for smashing his goals and can't wait to see him continue on his fitness journey. A happier, healthier Stuart is off to Canada on holiday and deserves a bit of R&R.

Pero con esto logré engancharme y comprometerme. Es clave moverse por todo lo que ya saben y no les voy a repetir 💪🏼. My mistake was when i was younger was impressing other people, trying to be better than other people, be noticed by other people. That did not do any good for me.

My Opponent , My Challenger is myself. I not only have to change physically but also mentally. 
We all need stop thinking about what other people think of you and let them talk and look. Other people will not make changes for you only you can make the change and see results.

Take negative energy and turn that into fuel to drive you to your success. On a day to day basic I've encounter people that message and constant question my posts and stories. Happy to criticise but not interact. I use their there feedback and fuel my success.
• 
Now for all the lovely Human beings I encounter daily who interact with my posts, take part of my challenges and even just said a morning in my DM I just want to thank you for mentally and physically making me strong. Yous are the people that make a difference in my life and I hope I do the same for yous ❤🙏🏾

Why High Hips? ⁣
Tailored more to switching to a conventional deadlift than the ‘standard lower hip squat position’ ⁣

A great exercise for applying ‘progressive overload’ by means of adding weight incrementally over time as strength improves 📈 ⁣

𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝘾𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙞𝙥𝙨📌⁣

Stand in the centre of Trap Bar with feet pointing forward under your hips. ⁣
⁣
Stand tall, push shoulders back, reaching down to grab the bar with arms out long while pushing your hips/glutes back. ⁣
⁣
Hands should be in the middle of the bar grip. ⁣
⁣
Chest up to keep the back in a neutral (flat) position while keeping our head in relaxed forward position. ⁣
⁣
Start by ‘engaging with the bar’ by pull with your lats (back) then stand up pushing your feet into the ground. ⁣
⁣
As the bar travels up your shin near your knee, push your hips forward to stand up fully. ⁣
⁣
Return to start position through the same path of pushing hips back, pause and reset for next rep. ⁣

Goblet Squat⁣🏆

An exercise I use frequently with clients to practise technique and range of motion with the goal of progressing to a barbell squat. ⁣
⁣
𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝘾𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙞𝙥𝙨📌⁣

When I set up for the movement I check my foot position which for most individuals will be shoulder width a part. Feet pointing out slightly. ⁣
⁣
Keeping the kettlebell close to my body with elbows in tight. ⁣
⁣
Maintain a neural spine by pushing your shoulder blades together and keep your head tucked in over the weight. ⁣
⁣
Perform squat by sitting back through your hips, pushing your knees out so they are in line with your toes. ⁣
⁣
Keeping your feet fully planted, chest tall and back in neutral/flat position throughout the motion. ⁣
⁣
Side Note - Exercise can be performed using a dumbbell with palms facing up at one end of the dumbbell. ⁣
