Ahhh, sorry guys, i've fallen behind with tracking progress on my 5 day Cleanse & Restore! It has still be happening behind the scenes I promise you and I have been learning A LOT about my eating behaviours. I'm going to do a blog post on it this weekend because i think it has been so valuable for me to review these behaviours and i'm sure I wont be alone in some of them so it might be a useful read if you can identify. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Anyway...Day 3 was my first struggle, i slept badly on Tuesday night so was exhausted and really felt like i needed a quick pick me up. This was the first time that I really craved sugar this week and had to divert myself from the chocolate aisle. But i'm pleased to say i was successful. I didn't deny myself as my body was clearly shouting out for some instant sugar but i had a fruit smoothie instead which gave me the boost i needed to get through the afternoon and i felt quite proud of myself for being a bit more mindful about what I was fuelling myself with 👏⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🤩RASPBERRY & SALTED CARAMEL NICE CREAM 🤩 I have recently gotten back into having maca powder daily - it boosts energy, improves our mood, improves memory, can reduce blood pressure, and and can improve stamina! It also adds a subtle caramel flavour to smoothies and nice creams, which is definitely an added bonus 😏

For this recipe, I used:
1 cup of frozen raspberries 
1 frozen banana 
2 scoops of salted caramel protein 
1 teaspoon of maca powder @natureswayoz 
Almond milk to blend

Simply blend everything together in a high speed blender until smooth, and top with desired toppings! I used organic shredded coconut and a few more raspberries 😋

🔥🔥Recipe:
Ingredients: 1 red bell pepper • 1/2 cup cashews ground into fine powder • 1/2 cup vegan cream cheese (in a pinch you can substitute cashew cream [1.5cups raw cashews soaked overnight then blended with 3/4 cup water], or unsweetened plant milk for a thinner sauce) • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil • 3-4 garlic cloves • 1 tbsp tomato paste (optional) • Salt & pepper to taste.

Method: (1) Roast the garlic. The fastest way is to place the cloves on a piece of aluminum foil with a dash of oil, then close the foil to create a pouch and roast at 350°F for 30 minutes. (2) Roast the red pepper. You can do this directly on the oven rack at 450°F for 30 minutes, or if you have a gas stove, roast the pepper over the flame until all sides are blackened. Allow the pepper to cool, then remove most of the charred bits, stem, core and seeds. (3) Add the red pepper, garlic, cream cheese, cashew powder, oil, tomato paste (if using), salt and pepper to a blender and blend until very smooth. (4) Heat the sauce in the microwave or stove top before using.🌱

A creamy and delicious bowl perfect for your next meal! 😋 • • • • • • 🥁Featuring : @hello.kalin 🙏Thanks for creating this vegan deliciousness • • • • • • Follow us and drop a like: • • • • • • 🔥🔥Recipe: Ingredients: 1 red bell pepper • 1/2 cup cashews ground into fine powder • 1/2 cup vegan cream cheese (in a pinch you can substitute cashew cream [1.5cups raw cashews soaked overnight then blended with 3/4 cup water], or unsweetened plant milk for a thinner sauce) • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil • 3-4 garlic cloves • 1 tbsp tomato paste (optional) • Salt & pepper to taste. ​. Method: (1) Roast the garlic. The fastest way is to place the cloves on a piece of aluminum foil with a dash of oil, then close the foil to create a pouch and roast at 350°F for 30 minutes. (2) Roast the red pepper. You can do this directly on the oven rack at 450°F for 30 minutes, or if you have a gas stove, roast the pepper over the flame until all sides are blackened. Allow the pepper to cool, then remove most of the charred bits, stem, core and seeds. (3) Add the red pepper, garlic, cream cheese, cashew powder, oil, tomato paste (if using), salt and pepper to a blender and blend until very smooth.
