Waking up at 4:44am to the fog horns on the Bay this morning.
I remember when I first visited here in 1997. A new acquaintance (my hubby now @loo_pics ) invited me for a visit after we met at our friend’s wedding.
It was Indian Summer and epic weather. He took me to all the great places: dinner at Bix as I arrived from my flight; sailing on the Bay; a night away to Calistoga; and discovering Sausalito. As we were walking in town, I thought to myself, ‘could I live here?’ It was like nothing I had experienced. I told Luke ‘it’s like a painting, I’m not sure I could live here, it’s almost not real.’ Well, I did move and it was just a couple of months later. We had many shifts in ourselves and our relationship during a 2 year courtship. So many.
And we are still shifting.
Since that move here for me end of 1997, we’ve lived here, LA, St Simons Island, GA; Boulder, CO; and back to Sausalito.
So much I’ve learned about life and change and letting go and adapting. About myself, my marriage, our daughters, the loss of our furry children; moving; death of friends and parents; new beginnings; and so many transitions.
So much wisdom; so much humbling; so much growth and expansion; so much adapting; so much gratitude for what is and what is becoming. So much cultivating of unconditional love and peace.
During my years of major life changes (which never stop) there has been joy and pain; struggle and letting go; and ultimately peace and joy. I’ve learned a lot on the path of change from my experiences and guiding clients in their transitions. It’s been a study and a research for me. You could say transitions are a focus for me.
Do you have changes happening in your life right now? Transitions? Are you struggling to find the peace and ease that help light the way when it feels so dark?
Stay tuned for my masterclass coming 11/19/19 to get clarity on navigating change with peace. Details coming tomorrow.
