3-Like animals that shake their body after a traumatic experience, we too can release trauma by moving our body. You can try shaking your body or put on the music that you feel to listen at that moment and dance or cry with it until you feel relieved.
4-Practice forgiveness. Forgiving yourself and others are so important in helping your body heal from your painful experiences. Forgiving yourself and understanding that it doesn't matter what situation leads you to numb yourself with food, drugs, sex and other addictive behavior. You did your best to cope with it and don’t beat yourself up.
