notes to self 💭

You don’t earn the food you eat. Say it loud and proud: I always deserve to eat.
Period. It’s not because of the group fitness class you took, the amount of calories you swished off on an elliptical, or because “you’ve been so good” lately... The same way you wouldn’t restrict yourself from peeing, sneezing or breathing—there’s no need to restrict yourself from eating.
I’m not saying that feeling uncomfortably full isn’t real and unpleasant, but—
the anxiety and stress we may experience around food we’ve labeled as “overeating” often times isn’t even about the food or the body. What if we tuned in and actually heard what our body truly needs from us moment by moment.
✨DIY: ask yourself how you were to eat if you were in a place of food freedom... what if you stopped using words like “good vs bad” surrounding food, what if you gave yourself permission to eat whatever you wanted. What if the diet never had to start again next week. What if you ate like you were on vacation or it was your birthday every. single. day.
I’m not suggesting that I know what would nourish your mind + body 〰️
however, I know that the more we restrict and deprive ourselves because of our concern with how we look, sometimes we aren’t able to truly recognize how we feel.
Allowing yourself to eat whatever and however and whenever you want doesn’t mean that you necessarily will. It means that what, when, why and how you eat is always your choice and isn’t dictated by fear or self judgement. Sometimes we say it’s a lifestyle change or we don’t check in with ourselves honestly, but it’s important to recognize when we turn to dieting as a need to feel in control or as a distraction from feeling all of our feels.
Diets fail to be sustainable and that never had anything to do with your willpower or some lack of self discipline.
Diet culture did us all dirty. .

REPEAT THIS... You deserve every ounce of love and appreciation...even if from yourself. You are beautiful and you are enough.

I wasted so much of my life worrying about food and my weight•

Beating myself up for eating something "bad" and for not having better will power•

I was stuck in my head worrying about how fat I looked...pulling at my top constantly in case any flab was showing•

I missed out on so many amazing experiences in life•

I missed out on swimming in summer because I was ashamed to wear togs, even though I love the water•

I missed out on creating so many happy memories because I was not present in the moment..instead I was fretting over how gross I looked and how much I had eaten at dinner•

So many holidays were ruined because of this constant battle in my mind•

I was forever thinking about how I could lose the weight. What's the magic thing that will finally work for me? I'd search the internet for the answers. I'd get sucked in and jump right back on the diet roller coaster...only to end up right back where I started•

Imagine a life where you were not worried all the time about food or your weight•

Imagine being able to pull on jeans and a t-shirt and walk out the door feeling confident, without having to check the mirror a million times•

Imagine all of the quality time that you would have to focus on the things in your life that are actually important. Your kids, your partner, that thing you have been wanting to do for so long•

This is all possible. I know, because I've done it•

Now, I can go out for dinner, order what I want and not feel guilty•

I can enjoy a few wines with my friends and not be worried about "stuffing" up my healthy eating•

I can pick out anything from my wardrobe and know that it will make me feel good•

I did this through ditching diets, focusing on nourishment rather than restriction and shifting my mindset•

It’s not about eating perfectly or having the “perfect” body•

It about aiming for good enough MOST of the time and finding the most naturally balanced weight for YOU•

It’s about ending the battle with your body and living the life you deserve•

If you are ready to ditch diets and make changes that will last long term, grab my free guide which tells you the top 6 things to do right now. Link in my bio

What about the female body makes you feel uncomfortable?⁣
⁣
A woman is not allowed to fart, to smell bad, to have hair in places that are not their head, she is not allowed to talk about her period blood or how much she is hurting without being seen as she is complaining. ⁣
She should act like a man and think like a man to climb the ladder, she should not honor her own body and the fact that her hormones change every week. ⁣
She is the one that needs to take a pill or have other fake hormones in her body - birth controls.⁣
⁣
A woman should pretend that she is as strong as a man. What does that mean when in fact she is the one that can create life inside her womb and she bleeds every month without dying. So what does it mean to be strong like a man, and have balls? Maybe they are actually just as strong but in two totally different ways?⁣
⁣
Women and men should be treated equal, they should have the same rights. I don’t believe we are the same - quite the opposite we are each other’s opposite. Yin and yang, plus and minus - we need both to be equal to balance it out.⁣
You can’t have a would of just Yang, and you can’t have a world of just Yin,⁣
⁣
You see we are both needed and we will never be the same. That’s the beautiful thing between women and men, we are both needed to create life.⁣
⁣
It’s time we build a world where we are united. Were we honor each other’s differences and where we see the beauty in our different strengths.⁣
⁣
It’s time that men learn about the female body in a new way, with a new perspective- not just like an objective.

Online personality @Jess_Megan_ shares her thoughts on #Body acceptance and how she uses her platform to reclaim her body and #spreadlove and #positivity by lifting others up. "Body Acceptance is about being happy and learning to love your body. For example, I’m working with women who have breast cancer and finding out how they perform self love and body acceptance even when they feel like their bodies have turned against them.I love the body acceptance movement because I am part of this amazing group of wonderful, powerful, amazingly supportive women who look out for each other. That’s amazing. They’re amazing." More than just celebrating different body types, there is a nced to normalise chage. There is immense pressure to adhere to rules set by society and it actually takes a lot to break free from the expectations that many of us grew up with. Additionally, many people that have been sexually assaulted may have difficulties coming to terms with how they've been abused, this could take a toll on them physically, emotionally and mentally. By being a figurehead for such movements and actively starting conversations by calling people who engage in online sexual harrassment out, Jess does what she can to change the way people perceive women. "How I present my body to the world is my choice, and people have no right to force their sexual desires onto me without my consent. It is harassment and it is bullying. " " The intention of these messages is to reduce me to a sexual fantasy. It takes me back to when I was a teenager and would get leered at and catcalled in the street by men or the moments in my life where I have been groped and touched without my consent. " It is not easy being in this sort of spotlight, but Jess uses her platform for good. It is incredibly brave and incredibly inspiring. Thank you for being your #unapologetic, #authenthic self Jess.

Tgis is posible health and fitness and weight loss yoga all products available is this site link bio check now 😎😎😎 Be honest, it’s the first thing you see when you glaze over a photo of yourself. ⁣
⁣
It’s a quick pick apart of all the things you wish you could change or all that’s “wrong” with you.⁣
⁣
The reason why it feels IMPOSSIBLE to look in the mirror and see anything other than something you hate is because of these 2 reasons:⁣
⁣
1️⃣ Your brain is trained that way. If you spend your whole life looking to all reasons why you hate yourself, it’s pretty damn confusing to all of sudden switch gears to “wow, what a bad ass bitch!” ⁣
⁣
2️⃣ We can change something that we aren’t willing to look at. If you’re someone who just doesn’t look in the mirror often or when you do, it’s a quick “oh God” and walk away, thennn seeing yourself in a photo might throw you for a loop!⁣
⁣
The good news is that this isn’t a life sentence and you can have a better relationship with your reflection.⁣
⁣
It starts with being willing to spend some time with what you see in the mirror. I talk about standing in front of the mirror all the time and it’s because our relationship with mirrors is often toxic.⁣
⁣
We use it as a tool to bully ourselves which is of course a stellar reason to avoid them. But that solution is temporary and like any relationship, it deserves more love and attention than that.⁣
⁣
I want to challenge you today, to go in front of your mirror, gaze at your reflection and tell yourself “it’s okay if I don’t love what I see right now, but I’m going to love YOU anyways”. Cry if you need to, notice the thoughts you hear in your head, and remind yourself you are safe and loved.⁣
⁣
This process is ESSENTIAL to the healing process. Start with however long you can but know you are worthy of moving through this discomfort 💕⁣
⁣
Save this post for later when you feel ready to try!⁣

#FDOE (full day of eating) out of order because my breakfast was not very ~aesthetic~
-
Lunch: @traderjoes traderjoes chicken-less tenders, root vegetable fries, blueberries, snap peas, and a pickle
Dinner: @traderjoes cauliflower gnocchi with roasted broccoli, kidney beans, marinara sauce, and garlic bread
Night snack: @chobani flip yogurt and a green apple
Breakfast: @starbucks skinny mocha latte -
-
First things first: I know coffee isn’t a meal. However, the latte was a huge step up from my previous intake. -
-
This is my first day of eating more than one meal without purging since this relapse (so over a month). It’s scary and hard and so so uncomfortable. I feel so bloated and full. I’m also so embarrassed to admit I’ve eaten such a huge amount of food. Before today I was having an afternoon snack and dinner, and if I ate anything else I would purge it. So this amount of food is such a huge change for me. -
-
But to be honest, I know it’s for the best. Even though my body image is shit, my mind/thoughts feel clearer than they have in a long time. I’m able to focus more and feel less rundown. I still engaged in over-exercise compulsions, but baby steps, ya know?-
-
I’m so scared right now. I know with this relapse I’m headed towards hospitalization or residential. But at the same time, pulling myself out is so terrifying. The numbness from restricting is protecting me from all the scary shit in my life. At the same time though, it is literally slowly killing me. I just feel stuck and trapped and too fat to take my relapse seriously. I don’t want to be sent to treatment, but I don’t want to let go of my eating disorder either. Does anyone else feel this way? -
-
Anyway, I hope you all are having a nice weekend 💫

Big girls have small (flat) butts too 👀 and we’re still damn sexy 🔥🔥 Small/Flat matter and are sexy as hell 🔥👏🏽 We usually see plus-size women with big butts, but what about the others who don’t have big butts but have big legs and hips? I’m here for you boo💜 I’m here for ALL of you 💜 .
