👀My reaction out of the shower, after dying my hair. lol.
So I turned my hair green.... Storytime!
After I dyed it #blue , one of THE hardest colors to get out of your hair (especially if you just got it highlighted) my hair had faded to a minty green. *disclaimer: i did love the blue. But I was having a hard time getting it out at home, despite it being "washout color" I don't do salons plus I like to do everything myself (#Taurus ) so once I got tired of it I went to work. I tried the Vitamin C wash, dandruff shampoo, the red food coloring toner, and pink hairdye. Nothing worked. (Lots of YouTube later) I didn't want to resort to a #bleach wash and instead decided to go a little darker.
But going dark the wrong way can make green come out stronger! Ahhh. I was scared.
So for Blue/Green, you have to cancel the colors out with Red/Orange. Ok. Dont forget this.
Took my green butt to @sallys_beauty.supply , and saw this beautiful new color by @CLAIROL_PRO #TrueColor line in #RedClay .
I was nervous to go red but the cashier told me Clairol was the best, so I want going to worry too much. Green hair had to go, so I took the leap.
Because it worked so well, and I know a lot of people struggle trying to get the green/blue to a nice color, I shot my little vlog which I'll be uploading later. Hopefully I can maybe help others find a good color to take it out, because I watched lots of videos, with not so nice outcomes.
I'm just happy to have a solid color again, but maybe next year.... purple!? Haha
