Mindfulness meditation is a practice that cultivates awareness, peace and gratitude. It allows you to be completely present in the moment. 
However, it’s often hard to really stay focused during this time away from internal and external distractions. As a tip I often tell my patients to practice the 4-7-8 breathing pattern during the meditation to help stay focused 🧘‍♂️ Here’s how to do it...✅
1️⃣ Exhale completely through the 
mouth 
2️⃣ 4- Breathe in through the nose for 4 seconds 
3️⃣ 7- Hold your breath for 7 seconds 
4️⃣ 8 - Breathe out completely through your mouth for 8 seconds
5️⃣ Repeat this cycle 3 more times .

Brody is sitting 10ft away from me in just his Spider-Man PJ bottoms watching Paw Patrol and I’m over here in my little Hawaiian Sandalwood zen space.

Sometimes we take our little “things that we do to feel safe” for granted. I did. And BOY did I need a little meditation, journal, sage burning, card pulling session this morning. Two sick kiddos with my empathic tendencies and all the NOISE that comes with them both being home and not feeling well...um, selfishly, honestly??? It put me over the edge. 
My little recentering, grounding ritual was SO needed this morning. I tried a new meditation by @thehonestguys called “Earth Grounding Guided Meditation” which I found on Amazon Music. 
I also dabbed a little Hawaiian Sandalwood on my wrists and took a few deep inhales. Sandalwood is known as the oil of sacred devotion. It has been used since ancient times for its powerful ability to calm the mind and still the heart. Sandalwood helps us to assess where our hearts are and challenges us to realign our priorities with the Divine will. Try taking your meditation, devotion, or journal time to the next level with just a hint of Sandalwood. The last 3 days were rough.
Today will be great!

I’m continually reminded of the importance #PACE and of slowling down and reaffirming how amazing I am, and how I’ve successfully navigated so much just this year so new challenges are merely copycats of shit I’ve already mastered and excelled in.

I’ve taken this test before. I already know all the answers.

P- pause when things/life gets overwhelming 
A- affirm that I’m more than able and equipped to hand the task at hand
C- celebrate my past successes as proof I been victorious in my past + celebrate my future successes in advance 
E - execute. Now that you’re reminded that you’re grander than the problem at hand, get back in action!

My love meditation...
A quienes practican yoga y a quienes no, l@s invito a ofrecer a sus niños y niñas instantes de calma en estos días de profundos cambios, movimientos y transformación.

Hayas decidido hacer parte o no a tus pequeños de los hechos que ocurren, debemos procurar entregarles la mayor contención en estos momentos. Sabemos que nuestros niños y niñas son como esponjitas, absorben todo lo que pasa a su alrededor, de ahí, la importancia de cuidarlos y cuidarnos para favorecer un ambiente de calma y seguridad para ellos.

En casa, antes de dormir, hicimos lo que nos gusta, una pequeña relajación, que nos permitió conectarnos con nosotras mismas y entre nosotras. Un momento lleno de amor 💜

No necesitas ningún implemento para poder realizarlo. Puede ser en la cama, sobre un sofá, en una alfombra. Solo elige una música suave y adecuada (si no tienes, te aconsejo que escuches la pista completa tú primero, ya que no siempre la música que puedes encontrar en internet es apropiada), puedes recostarte junto a tu hijo(a), tomar su mano y simplemente  disfrutar de ese momento juntos 🙏. Invital@ a respirar lento y profundo. ☆

Whatever floats your boat ⛵️⁣

My first float floated my boat so much that I saw some amazing things - my mind was so active that I even had a rush of emotions from laughing quite loudly to crying and ending on crying with happiness because I didn’t want it to end⁣
It was amazing to feel that and I walked out with a great sense of calmness and energy that has changed my view on many things in my life ⁣
⁣
Yesterday when I floated I slept through the whole thing... ⁣
Literally was woken up in a state of shock by the pump emptying the tank⁣
I splashed water into my own eyes so I was momentarily blinded ⁣
Obviously my mind and body needed rest ⁣
⁣
Keen to do it again and see where I go this time but I would recommend this to everyone and anyone ⁣
Deprive yourself of all your senses and see where your mind goes! It’s beautifully insightful, can help to find clarity ⁣and can take you into the inner workings of your mind in amazing ways
