Saturday evening #dinner
Grilled tuna steaks and a baby leave and cherry tomato salad dressed with balsamic and 1/2 TBSP olive oil. Night in this evening and feels great. This meal was so tasty and fresh. Saturday night DOESN’T equal drinking alcohol and takeaways or calorie blow outs, that’s just how I see it. Never feel pressurised to eat or drink things you don’t want/enjoy just because people around you are or because is a certain day of the week. Any day of the week is a great day to nourish your body the same way any day of the week is a great day to enjoy a calorific treat because you feel like it.

Doubling up on protein this evening. I did a mega lower body workout earlier this morning, coffee with a friend, lunch with my ❤️, the day just went and I ended up having 2 meals by 6pm, this is my 3rd one. Am low in protein, low in calories, low in everything. Although am not very hungry am still having a decent dinner. Is nice to think: oh I’ve only had 800 calories today, I may as well leave it and go to bed and I’ll wake up skinnier. Trust me, that tactic never works. Why? Well, tomorrow you’ll wake up starving and chances are you’ll end up over eating on the wrong things so as much as a calorie deficit is essential for fat loss, adequate calorie consumption is also essential for sustained energy levels. Eating too little will also affect your performance at the gym, so bear that in mind as well. Don’t try and trick the system, it might backfire you. So don’t be sacred to catch up with your calories if you’ve been running around the whole day! Honest advise here 💡

1️⃣Wide Stance windmill 2 x 10… Great for opening up and mobilising the hip as well as the mid thoracic spine. .

2️⃣Banded Cossack Squat 2 x 10.... Another Great Hip Mobility Exercise, going all the way to the floor requires a lot of glue activation so make sure to keep core tight always because you will struggle to come back up if your gluten and core aren’t engaged. (Progression: use a lighter band). .

3️⃣Banded TKE with Front Load 2 x 10… This is a great strengthening exercise for the Knees as well as helping with knee pain.  This is a Progression of the exercise by adding extra load using a Db. (Regression: without the load and having both feet on the floor when performing the exercise).

4️⃣Banded/Trx Single Arm Pistols.. 2 x 10 each leg (Knee/hamstrings/Glutes) Making sure to keep my core upright, knees aren’t tracking over toes. If you struggle with single arm then hold on to the band with both hands. (Progression: A lighter Band) .

5️⃣HALF Kneel Get ups (Upside down and Heavy) 3 x 10 Each side… Upside down really helps with shoulder stability(🚫AVOID going too heavy when holding the kb upside down🚫) and the heavier (normal hold) for strengthening the shoulders. .

6️⃣These are Dynamic Movements so you can do them Pre or Post workout :-)
