Well the interview went as well as it possibly could have gone. They are waiting to interview someone tomorrow and another person next week but I know I gave it my all and that I’m qualified as h*ck! So no matter what, I need to trust the process and try and enjoy Savannah for the rest of the time I’m here. Tonight I’m actually staying on Skidaway and the SkIO (Skidaway Institute of Oceonography) campus. It’s in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by marsh and a pretty historic site. Allegedly the building I’m sleeping in tonight (1 story building featured in the photos here) was at one time slave quarters but I need to do more research to determine if this is accurate. Anyway, there are signs of raccoons, wild pigs, armadillos, tons of little crabbies, ibis, egrets, song birds and all kinds of bugs and it’s delightful! Looking forward to my last day of exploring tomorrow and patiently awaiting the outcome of the interview - though that may take 2 weeks. 😬😬 Either way, I’m thankful for this experience!
