Today I went back to my roots and did a swim workout. I grew up swimming competitively from elementary school up until college. I’ve since ‘retired’ and tbh I miss it so much. I will say I’m not in ‘swim shape’ like I used to be but it felt so dang good to be back in the water. 🧜♀️ Bae (@dirtyd193 ) grew up swimming too so he joined me!
For anyone looking for a different type of workout - I highly recommend hoping in the pool. Here’s what I did today, just a quick 30 minute beginners workout:
1 x 100 freestyle
2 x 50 of each stroke (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke & freestyle)
1 x 100 IM (1 lap of each stroke)
1 x 200 IM (2 laps of each stroke)
2 x 50 w/kick board of each stroke (fly, back, breast & free)
1 x 200 free
25 meters/yards = 1 lap
50 meters/yards = 2 laps
75 meters/yards = 3 laps
100 meters / yards = 4 laps
and so on...
